Election Results: Utah House of Representatives

April 21, 2012

Here are the vote counts for our House of Representatives races. Those who received more than 60% of the delegate vote will be the candidates for their district.  Districts where no one received or higher of votes do not go to primary:

District 29
Lee B Perry 30 votes, 45.5%
Brad J. Galvez 36 votes, 54.5%

Going to primary

District 53
John B. Zimmerman 18 votes, 33%
Melvin R. Brown 36 votes, 65%

No primary

District 55
John G. Mathis 41 votes, 82%
Mark Caldwell 9 votes, 18%

No primary

District 58
David Parrish 4 votes, 8%
Spencer J. Cox- 48, 92%

No primary

District 68
Second round results:
Bill Wright 31 votes, 56.4%
Merrill Nelson 24 votes, 43.6%

Going to primary

District 70
Lenard E. Wright 6 votes, 10%
Kay L. McIff 54 votes, 90%

No primary

District 71
Brad Last was made the candidate by acclamation. (John Leavitt withdrew from the race.)

    Percentages for House District 29 are inaccurate. Correct percentages should be as follows: (see vote count numbers)
    Brad J. Galvez 36 votes, 54.5%
    Lee B Perry 30 votes, 45.5%

    Note (to all who read this later): The vote count on the original post was correct but the percentages in the District 29 race were switched (see the comment, above). The percentages have been corrected.
